NGC 7000 North America Nebula
NGC 7000, also known as the North America Nebula, is a large emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. Its outline resembles the continent of North America, which gives the nebula its common name.

Dark dust clouds shape the nebula and obscure parts of its glowing hydrogen gas. The nearby Pelican Nebula, IC 5070, is part of the same large star-forming region.
