Star Cluster Photos
Star clusters around the Milky Way
The Milky Way contains two main types of star clusters: open clusters, which are young groups of stars in the galaxy's disk, and globular clusters, which are much older and form a spherical halo around the galaxy. Open clusters typically have hundreds of stars, while globular clusters contain tens of thousands to millions of ancient stars.
Most galaxies contain star clusters, but with the Seestar I can only image the clusters near the Milky Way.
