M35 Star Cluster (The Shoe Buckle)
Messier 35 (M35), also known as "The Shoe Buckle," is an open star cluster located in the constellation Gemini. M35 contains over 2,500 stars and spans a diameter of about 24 light-years. It is situated approximately 2,800 light-years from Earth, and is estimated to be roughly 150 million years old, making it much younger and less tightly bound than the ancient globular clusters.
