NGC 6960 Veil Nebula

NGC 6960, often called the Western Veil Nebula or the Witch’s Broom, is part of the larger Veil Nebula supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus. It is a vast shell of ionized gas and dust resulting from a massive star that exploded thousands of years ago. The intricate filaments of glowing gas display vivid colors when captured in astrophotography, with hydrogen, oxygen, and sulfur emissions creating its striking appearance.
