NGC 281 Pacman Nebula

NGC 281, commonly called the Pacman Nebula due to its resemblance to the classic arcade character, is a bright emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is part of the Perseus Spiral Arm of the Milky Way and contains the young open star cluster IC 1590. The nebula is notable for its dark dust lanes, Bok globules, and active regions of star formation powered by massive, newly formed stars.
