NGC 6888 Crescent Nebula
NGC 6888, known as the Crescent Nebula, is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. It formed when the strong stellar wind from the Wolf-Rayet star WR 136 pushed into slower material shed earlier in the star's life. This interaction created a bright shell of glowing gas with a curved shape that stands out well in narrowband astrophotography.
