NGC 4565 Needle Galaxy
NGC 4565, often called the "Needle Galaxy," is a edge-on spiral galaxy located in the constellation Coma Berenices. Its thin, elongated profile and dark dust lane crossing the bright central bulge give it a distinctive needle-like appearance, making it a favorite target for visual observers and astrophotographers.

Because NGC 4565 is seen almost perfectly edge-on, it provides an excellent view of the structure of a spiral galaxy's disk and dust lane, and it is often used as a classic example of an edge-on spiral in galaxy catalogs and imaging projects.
