M 64 Black Eye Galaxy

Messier 64, also known as the Black Eye Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy located about 17 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It is famous for the dark band of absorbing dust in front of its bright nucleus, giving it the appearance of a black eye. M64 is also catalogued as NGC 4826.
