Markarian Galaxy Chain
Markarian's Chain is a gently curving line of galaxies that forms part of the Virgo Cluster, located in the constellation Virgo about 50–70 million light-years from Earth. The "chain" is best known for its bright members M84 and M86, along with several nearby galaxies that appear strung together across the sky.
This Seestar picture shows about a dozen galaxies. The total number in the cluster is roughly 1300! Our own Milky Way is part of this galaxy cluster.
