We spent Thanksgiving week (November 24 – December 1, 2019) at Jill and Mike’s house in Shorewood, Minnesota. For the first part of the visit the weather was cold but sunny, as you can see below. However, a couple of days later the first storm of the winter blew through, and we got several inches of snow, as you can see above and further below.

We actually had several “Thanksgiving” dinners; the first was the day we arrived when Jill Blomquist Hansen and her family came over for a salmon and potato pie feast. We hadn’t seen her two girls in about 5 years!
