The Rebmanns: The Rebmann family originated in the town of Gundershoffen, Alsace, France. Henry Rebmann and his siblings all emigrated to the United States in the late 19th century. Henry Rebmann came to Buffalo.

The Kalerts: I once asked my mother about her mother's mother Anna, and she said her name was "Anna Alein", but her realn ame was "Anna Kalert". The Kalerts were from Bayern, Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1857, settling in St. Louis. Anna somehow traveled to the Buffalo area where she married Henry Rebmann in 1890. The rest of the Kalert family later moved to Freeburg, St. Clair county, Illinois where they took up farming.
