This WebHelp Responsive website provides an online, accessible overview of the genealogy and family history of Michael Henry Blomquist (1975-) and his ancestors.

Mike's ancestors: family relationships

Most of the information here was derived from Mike's Ancestry / Family Tree Maker family history project. It was created by Anna van Raaphorst and Dick Johnson, and was enhanced by various AI agents and assistants, including Perplexity AI.

To help reduce complexity and confusion, this project separates Mike's ancestor groups into four "quadrants" representing his grandparents and their ancestors:

Paternal (father's) side of the family:
  • Blomquist (Blomqvist)
  • Harasimowicz (Arasymowicz, Arras, Aras)
Maternal (mother's) side of the family:
  • Scherer
  • Janisch (Fansek)

Most of Mike's ancestors migrated from Sweden, Norway, Poland/Lithuania, Germany, and Czechia (also known as the Czech Republic, and, historically, Bohemia).
