My great-grandfather, Peter George Johnson, was born September 10, 1867, in Oswego, New York. He had five sisters and one brother. His parents were Peter H. Johnson, born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Augusta Siewertsen, born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. In 1870, when Peter was 2, his family had moved to Tonawanda, New York. Peter then lived the entire rest of his life in Tonawanda.
In 1892, Peter married my great-grandmother, Caroline (Lena) Dueger. They had three children, one of whom was my grandfather, Alfred Johnson.
Peter worked as a machinist, including one period at Spaulding Fibre.
Peter died February 2, 1928, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, New York.
