“Jack-to-Jack” model boat race in Glen Ellen, California

Today about noon we grabbed our cameras and headed down to the annual “Jack-to-Jack” model boat race (sponsored by the Jack London Yacht Club) by the bridge in downtown Glen Ellen. It’s a fun community event!

Last year there was so little water in the creek that the boats had to be sort of pushed along. This year there was so much water, and it was flowing so fast, that most of the boats couldn’t stay upright.

The one exception was an interloper raft that entered the race via Calabazas Creek.
