Fall colors and family fun in Minnesota

The schedule above tells the tale: it was an action-packed, school-free, long weekend (October 18-23, 2017) that we shared with our Minnesota family. Every minute counted.

With everyone in the family participating, we managed to get the gardens winterized and the lawn temporarily leaf-free. We geocached at Minnetonka Regional Park with Helena’s Girl Scout troop. We shopped at the Mall of America: Helena focused on the American Girl store and Archer bought two Xbox one games at GameStop. We had delicious home-cooked meals and grilled walleye at Lola’s. We bought apples and caramels at the Apple Orchard. Mike took us on a lovely, late-afternoon boat ride on the lake.

In short, we had a wonderful, time, and we hope to see the family again in California over the New Year’s school break.
